暑假里，妈妈给我买了一本书，书名叫《宠物集中营》。这是我最喜欢的杨红樱阿姨写的书，内容又高兴又悲伤。还有许多其他淘气包马小跳系列的书，都是杨红樱阿姨写的。

文中主要讲了有一只西施狗因为得了结膜炎而被主人麦冬娜遗弃了。麦冬娜是一个冷酷无情，但是很漂亮的姐姐。后来在马小跳和安琪儿的劝说下，麦冬娜同意带丑八怪去宠物医院治疗。在回家的路上，麦冬娜偶然遇见了斗牛犬拉登，麦冬娜也被它的动作迷住了，花了三千元把它买下来。在后来，麦冬娜设计狗服装，在中途，有两只患了肥胖症的狗被送到了她的家里减肥。一只是德国牧羊犬海豹，一只是狗妹妹法国鬓毛犬雪儿。可是在减肥过程中，丑八怪爱上了拉登，拉登爱雪儿，雪儿爱海豹。可是在雪儿和拉登就要举行婚礼的前一天，拉登带着雪儿去散步，可是一不小心，雪儿跑到了马路中间，一辆车开过来，拉登为了救雪儿，扑过去把雪儿撞到一边，自己却被车压死了。
