Since Lantern Festival involves making offerings to the deities and is celebrated at night,it is natural that fire would play an important role. Over time,Lantern Festival gradually evolved into its present form. When Buddhism was introduced to China during the Eastern Han Dynasty ,the emperor decreed that on the night of the full moon of the first lunar month,lanterns should be lit to honor Buddha,adding yet another level of significance to Lantern Festival. And according to Daoism,Lantern Festival is associated with the primordial deities of Heaven and Fire,who were born on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month.

花灯展示中心更为漂亮，这儿琳琅满目的花灯使人眼花缭乱，看都看不过来。看那桃灯，粉红的底色，桃尖上涂点红色，桃底有翠绿的大叶子，真是既漂亮又简单。再看那虎灯，制作好框架后，用闪闪发亮的金纸糊住框架，这样，一只栩栩如生的老虎就立刻展现在了眼前。再看那龙灯，追着宝珠上下翻腾，全身的鳞片金光闪闪，龙的尾巴不停地摆动。观看的人们情不自禁地喊：“龙活啦！龙活啦！”还有??真是一言难尽啊！
走出夫子庙，爆竹在空中炸响，仿佛把天空炸开了一个洞，满天的星星从天空一下撒了下来。快看啊！远处五彩缤纷的烟花从天而降，一下子照亮了南京城外。
回到家里已是晚上十点左右，妈妈给我们每人煮了一碗汤圆。我们一家三口吃 着 白 白 胖 胖 的 汤 圆 ， 真 正 体 会 到 了 团 团 圆 圆 的 亲 情 。
