议论文是作者对某个问题或某件事进行分析、评论，表明自己的观点、立场、态度、看法和主张的一种文体。议论文有三要素，即论点、论据和论证。论点的基本要求是：观点正确，认真概括，有实际意义，恰当地综合运用各种表达方式；论据基本要是：真实可靠，充分典型；论证的基本要求是：推理必须符合逻辑。
写议论文要考虑论点，考虑用什么作论据来证明它，怎样来论证，然后得出结论。它可以是先提出一个总论点，然后分别进行论述，分析各个分论点，最后得出结论；也可以先引述一个故事，一段对话，或描写一个场面，再一层一层地从事实分析出道理，归纳引申出一个新的结论。这种写法叫总分式，是中学生经常采用的一种作文方式。也可以在文章开头先提出一个人们关心的疑问，然后一一作答，逐层深入，这是答难式的写法。还要以是作者有意把两个不同事物以对立的方式提出来加以比较、对照，然后得出结论，这是对比式写法。
议论文是用逻辑、推理和证明，阐述作者的立场和观点的一种文体。这类文章或从正面提出某种见解、主张，或是驳斥别人的错误观点。新闻报刊中的评论、杂文或日常生活中的感想等，都属于议论文的范畴。
议论文又叫说理文，它是一种剖析事物、论述事理、发表意见、提出主张的文体。作者通过摆事实、讲道理、辨是非，以确定其观点正确或错误，树立或否定某种主张。议论文应该观点明确、论据充分、语言精炼、论证合理、有严密的逻辑性。
一、议论文写作三要素
议论文主要包括三要素：论点、论据和论证方法。论点必须正确。论据是为说明论点服务的，既要可靠又要充分，事实胜于雄辩，是最好的论据。论据也可以是人们公认的真理，经过实践考验的哲理。论证的方法多种多样，常用的方法有：
1. 归纳法
从分析典型，即分析个别事物入手，找出事物的'共同特点，然后得出结论。
2. 推理法
从一般原理出发，对个别事物进行说明、分析，而后得出结论。
3. 对照法
对所有事实、方面进行对照，然后加以分析，得出结论。
4.驳论法
先列出错误的观点，然后加以逐条批驳，最后阐明自己的观点。
二、议论文的特点
议论文的结构一般有引子、正文和结论句三部分。一般在引子部分提出论点，即文章的主题，在正文部分摆出有利的事实，对论点进行严密的论证，最后根据前面的论证得出结论。
三、议论文的写法
要写好议论文，必须注意以下几点：
1.确定论点。
论点通常在文章的第一段提出。
2.要有足够的论据，可以列举生活的实例。
3.论证要有严密的逻辑性。
所有事实、原因、理由应紧密地同结论连接起来。
4.层次要清楚。
5.态度诚恳、友好，因为议论文重在说理，以理服人。
议论文在写作手法上以议论为主，但有时也要运用说明、叙述、描写等手法。议论中的说明常为议论的开展创造条件，或是议论的补充；议论文中的叙述和描写应是为论点提供依据的因此，叙述应该是概括的，描写应该是简要的。
6.论据要充分
欲证明自己的观点必须有充分的证据。作者可以列举事实、展示数据、提供事例、借助常识或利用亲身经历。

【摘 要】英语写作在高考中的地位不容忽视。因此，在高中阶段，教师应重视英语写作，认真研究新教材和新课程标准，有计划有目的地训练和提高学生的英语写作能力。
【关键词】英语书面表达能力提高
高考书面表达常从如下六个方面进行判分，即：1.内容要点是否完整；2.词汇和语法结构运用是否得当；3.上下文是否连贯；4.词数是否符合要求；5.拼写与标点符号是否正确；6.书写是否工整。如果一篇书面表达覆盖了所有内容要点，应用了较多的语法结构和词汇，有效地使用了语句间的连接成分，使全文结构紧凑，这样就完全达到了预期的写作目的，就可以得到高分。
为了写好书面表达，我们建议采取四步写作法，这就是：
1.审题定向，构思要点
书面表达的第一步是仔细审题，要仔细阅读试题要求及相关信息，如图表、图画、数字等，要准确把握出题者的意图。看清题目要求、说明及注意事项，并包括词数、是否要写题目、开头结尾是否已写好，以及给出的参考词汇。弄清所给要点提示并一一列出。如果是图画，一定要围绕主题合理想象，切忌随意发挥。然后根据要求，确定文体（应用文、说明文、记叙文）、格式（信件、启事、日记、便条、口头通知、书面通知）、作者身份（第几人称、主人、客人）及事件发展过程等。
为了达到"覆盖了所有内容要点"的目的，在认真审题的基上，我们要将要点一一用英语列出，以免遗漏。
2.表述成句，组句成文
在这一步骤中，要将每一个要点写成语言正确的基本句。写作基本句时要注意紧扣要点内容，尽量使用简单句或简洁明了的句子表述，句子一定要完整，表达的要点内容也一定要完整；不会的词不要用汉字标出，应该学会用其他方式表达，换个词或换个说法，不要受汉语思维所束缚，一味翻译。例如，2003年的高考作文题目是写有关减负的，好多考生不会用英文表达减负，可行的方法是换种说法，语言是丰富多彩的，同一个意思可以有很多不同的表达方法。我们把表述成句后的句子组句成文时，还要特别注意写好文章的开头和结尾。有些书面表达的题目，开头和结尾已经给出，有些则要自己写。这时我们要注意，开头最好开门见山。结尾一定要有结论。
3.润色提升，审读修改。
书面表达不仅仅是"句子堆积"，同时要注意文章的连贯性和逻辑性，使文章上下衔接自然、紧凑。用好各种关联词，对写出一篇有’’英语味’’的文章很重要。
下面是写作中经常用到的一些关联词：and,other,as,therefore,however,later,besides,also,inaddition,such,but,yet,what’smore,asfor,aboveall,ontheonehand…ontheotherhand,foronething…foranotherthing…,before等。
注意句型多样化，既要有简单句，又要有复合句，特别注意运用地道用法的英语句型，这样使短文看起来生动。写作时，注意长短句结合。例如2008年湖北卷书面表达，要求写投诉信，其中Iwantyoutosendanewoneofthesamemodel.可使用Requiresbthat(should)do…这种句型改写成Irequirethatyousendmeanewoneofthesamemodelwithinamonth. 又如，在2009年北京卷书面表达中，要表达我们骑自行车去那里，一路上谈笑着，如果说成Wewenttherebybike.Wetalkedandlaughedalltheway.句子很单调，如果说成：Webicycledthere,talkingandlaughingalltheway.文章就活泼得多。
在写作时还应适当运用倒装结构.使得句子更生动.例如：Iwillhardlybelieveyou.可变成HardlywillIbelieveyou.

适当运用被动结构。被动结构在英语中较为常见，如果能将文章中一两个句子变成被动语态，就会呈现句型的变化，使文章句型丰富。例如：Wecanborrowfivebooksatmost,andwecankeepthemfortendays.这句话如果写成：Atmostfivebookscanbeborrowedatatimeandtheycanbekeptfortendays，效果会更好。强调句型和虚拟语气也是提高表达层次的有效手段.例如2009年广东卷书面表达中使用suggest后为从句中用虚拟语气的结构，更能展现写作者的水平。
4．检查修改，誊写工整
文章不厌百回改，审读修改这一步很重要,很多细小的语法错误都是在最后的'审读修改检查中改正的。作文写完后应认真阅读，检查文章中的拼写和标点错误，语法错误、逻辑错误等；检查词数是否符合要求；检查内容要点是否全面，删繁就简，使表达更加精炼，措辞更加恰当。定稿后应认真誊写，力争书写规范、正确、美观，并保持卷面整洁，才不会丢失本来不该丢的分数。
总之，上述’’四步’法不仅是做好书面表达题的基本操作流程，也是考生改正缺点、少犯错误的比较有效的方法，并能指导学生进行有效的备考复习，更快的提高书面表达的成绩。
