向人类敲起的警钟——大气污染随着人类经济活动和生产的迅速发展，在大量消耗能源的同时，同时也将大量的废气、烟尘物质排入大气，严重影响了大气环境的质量，特别是在人口稠密的城市和工业区域。当大气中污染物质的浓度达到有害程度，以至破坏生态系统和人类正常生存和发展的条件，对人或物造成危害的现象叫做大气污染。

而现在人类关注的焦点是臭氧层的保护问题。据我收集的资料显示：臭氧层是地球最好的保护伞，它吸收了来自太阳的大部分紫外线。然而近二十年的科学研究和大气观测发现：每年春季南极大气中的臭氧层一直在变薄，事实上在极地大气中存在一个臭氧“洞”这种臭氧损耗现象是一种反常现象，这是否表明这一紫外线吸收层正处于全球性灾难呢？通过不断的科学研究，人们发现人类社会活动释放的物质严重的破坏了臭氧层，当然这种现象还受到这一地区独特的气象状态的影响。

大气污染对气候的影响很大,大气污染排放的污染物对局部地区和全球气候都会产生一定影响，尤其对全球气候的影响，从长远的观点看，这种影响将是很严重的'。大气污染会造成气候变暖等多方面的影响。全球变暖是目前全球环境研究的一个主要议题。根据对100多份全球变化资料的系统分析，发现全球平均温度已升高0.3～0.6摄氏度。其中11个最暖的年份发生在80年代中期以后，因而全球变暖是一个毋庸置疑的事实。全球变暖将带来非常严重的后果，如冰川消退、海平面上升、荒漠化，还给生态系统、农业生产带来严重影响。

大气污染不仅给环境带来极坏的影响，并且对人体健康产生严重的危害。大气被污染后，由于污染物质的来源、性质和持续时间的不同，被污染地区的气象条件、地理环境等因素的差别，以及人的年龄、健康状况的不同，对人体造成的危害也不尽相同。大气中的有害物质主要通过下述三个途径侵入人体造成危害：

(1)通过人的直接呼吸而进入人体;

(2)附着在食物上或溶于水中，使之随饮食而侵入人体；

(3)通过接触或刺激皮肤而进入到人体。其中通过呼吸而侵入人体是主要的途径，危害也最大。

大气污染对人的危害大致可分为急性中毒，慢性中毒，致癌三种。

可持续发展战略的核心是经济发展与保护资源、保护生态环境的协调一致，是为了让子孙后代能够享有充分的资源和良好的自然环境。

可持续发展是一个长期的战略目标，需要人类世世代代的共同奋斗。现在是从传统增长到可持续发展的转变时期，因而最近几代人的努力是成功的关键。必须从现在做起，坚定不移地沿着可持续发展的道路走下去。

酸雨

随着工业化和能源消费增多，酸性排放物也日益增多，它们进入空气中，经过一系列作用就形成了酸雨。

人们对酸性排放物已经有了控制，但仍然还有酸雨现象。大气尘埃可能是造成酸雨问题的另一原因。酸雨

旱灾：

广东省—20××年下半年中国南部大旱，广东省成为重灾区。自20××年10月以来，广东已经连续2年发生了冬秋连旱，直到现在旱情也未得到完全缓解。绿色和平气候变化小组于20××年1月上旬沿广州北上清远，乳源，韶关。深入粤北干旱腹地，追寻干旱的足迹，探访旱灾之源。所到之处，鱼塘干涸，庄稼枯萎，土地龟裂。

当空气轻微污染时，人体吸入的空气可以由鼻腔里的鼻毛除去部分灰尘，再由鼻腔里的黏液和各类支气管里的黏液将灰尘粘连住。气管和支气管内的纤毛有几千万根，它们每秒约摆动12次，像“清洁工”一样从下向上推扫呼吸道里的黏液，直至咽喉部，再通过咳嗽咳出体外。

当空气严重污染时，呼吸道的净化作用将降低，甚至完全丧失。在这种情况下，呼吸道和肺易受病菌的侵袭而患各种疾病。

由于种种原因，空气污染还在加剧。如果不能解决空气污染的问题，恐怕真有一天，人类只能带着口罩生活。

However, with the deepening of urbanization, more cars are needed, which will make the air pollution worse. Therefore, the following actions should be taken. First, we should apply the most cutting-edge technologies in order to adopt new forms of energy as substitutes for fossil fuels. Second, try hard to develop possible transportation means, which are enviromental friendly. So that the citizens can reduce the dependence on cars. However, it may be that we still have a long way to go before we have a "clean" world.Nearly all of the countries are trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. There indeed seems to be no end to tasks that environmentalists will be required to do.People will continually find new ways to control pollution.
