Hawaii is home of the world's most active volcano,the crater of Kilauea on Mauna Loa.Sandy beaches,towering volcanoes,and lush valleys lure thousands of tourists each year to this tropical paradise.
Hawaii is the most ethnically and racially diverse state of any state in the union,a mix that includes Caucasians,Americans of Japanese descent,and Polynesians,among others.Native Hawaiians have held on to many of their customs and traditions despite the influx of non-natives over the years.Hawaii is the only state that has an official native language.Statehood had been proposed many times throughout Hawaii's history,but it was not until 1959 that Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States.

今天爸爸妈妈要带我去美国最美最深的火山口湖游玩。你知道为什么叫火山口湖吗?顾名思义，这个湖是火山喷发后形成的。妈妈告诉我，七千年前，位于美国俄勒冈州的玛扎玛山发生了剧烈的火山喷发。一场天崩地陷之后，山峰不复存在，一场壮烈的覆灭换来了这一汪宁静的深邃——火山口湖(Crater Lake)。
爸爸说，开车到那里需要三个小时，我心想：这么长的旅途该多么无聊啊。然而，途中的风光完全颠覆了我之前的想法。公路两侧笔直、高耸入云的针叶林、枝繁叶茂得不知名的树种形成绿、黄、红三色相间的穹顶，为我们遮挡着烈日。树林中，那些经年老去的树木虽杂乱地散落一地，但这难道不正是原始森林别有的一番自然味道吗?空旷的路上，偶有车辆行驶在前方，这车似乎也成了这天然画卷不可缺少的一部分。
到了，到了!眼前幽兰色的“蓝宝石”仿佛带我进入了一个童话世界。那湖水靛蓝凝重，犹如一潭蓝色浓墨，凝固在陡立峭壁、巍峨群山和险峻悬崖环成的巨大天然围抱之中。湖的四周群山环绕，而它就是那颗镶嵌在群山峻岭中的明珠。夏、秋是游览火山口湖的最佳时节。据说太阳越大，天空越蓝，湖面就越漂亮，因为湖水的颜色就是蓝天的色彩，的确如此。
我们开车沿着迂回曲折、逐渐攀升的公路围绕湖泊前行，突然发现，我们已经置身在满是沙斯塔红冷杉、铁杉和松树的茂密森林之中了。
在游览途中，我被一种小松鼠吸引了。开始我还以为它是花栗鼠，后来看到介绍才知道它叫gold-mantled ground squirrel，披了金色披风的、在地面行走的松鼠，名字好贴切啊。这些小家伙超级好客，一点也不认生。我“咋咋”地叫着它们，它们居然像小鸡一样跑了过来，眼巴巴地朝我讨要食物。我把坚果放在手心，小家伙居然大胆地在我手上吃了起来。它们好聪明，把自己的两腮都塞得鼓鼓的，然后跑到灌木丛下把嘴里的坚果吐出来、藏起来，然后又跑回来继续吃，那憨态可掬的贪吃样子真是让人忍俊不禁。还有一只从悬崖缝隙里跑出来的小松鼠，同我做起了捉迷藏的游戏。开始它很胆怯，远远地看着我，然后试图慢慢接近，我对它说了一声，Hi,它竟害羞地跑开了。
车子开到了山顶，这里可以俯瞰湖的全貌。比美丽的景色更让我惊喜的是，我居然看到了雪。我是地道的东北女孩儿，见到雪，立刻欣喜不已。抓一把，贴在脸上，那凉凉的感觉，沁人心脾，嗯，是家乡的味道!
尽管还对美景与我的“小松鼠”恋恋不舍，但终究要分别。再见了，那份宁静!再见了，那份深邃!再见了，可爱的小松鼠!

新的一天开始了我们先是乘船观赏了自由女神像，自由女神的高度非常的高是46.5 米高，真是像一位巨人一样呀！自由女神右手高举着火炬，左手拿着独立宣言，脚下是打碎的手铐和脚镣还有锁链代表着自由，好来我们又去了联合国总部大厦，这个建筑物很壮观也很美丽，内部构造更为精湛，很有气派，它的高度非常的高，非常的令人惊叹不已，接着我们又去了哥伦比亚大学，而哥伦比亚大学也是八所常春藤盟校之一，哥仑比亚大学的校友和教授中总共有87 人获得过诺贝尔奖，包括现任美国总统奥巴马在内的三位美国总统是该校的毕业生，在此外，该学校的医学系.法学系.商学系和新闻学院都是名列前茅，哥伦比亚大学的新闻学院所颁发的普利策奖则是美国新闻界的最高荣誉。
接下来我们又乘车去了洛克菲勒中心也是洛克菲勒大厦，它非常的高有70 层之高，如果在晚上是在洛克菲勒大厦上看纽约市的夜景那是最好不过的办法了，洛克菲勒大厦的对面就是美国有名的帝国大厦了洛克菲勒大厦和帝国大厦曾经被日本以高金额收购过，后来美国把日本的经济搞得一蹶不振美国以低金额买回了帝国大厦和洛克菲勒大厦美国--笑到了最后，之后我们又乘车回到了宾馆休息，准备好开始下一天的旅程吧!
