梅花被誉为花中之冠，每当冬末春初，梅花便“凌寒独自开”，高洁幽香。梅花的嵩高品格和坚贞气节，象征着中华民族的骨气精神。

和别的花朵不一样，桂花喜欢开在树枝上。桂花十分娇弱，只要轻轻一摇，就会下起“花雨”来，地上随即出现了一条香气四溢的花毯。桂花的颜色也不少，有淡黄色的，黄色的，红色和橘黄色的，但不管是什么颜色的花，每种都会散发出沁人心脾的芳香，使人感觉心旷神怡。桂花还可以做成各种食品端上了餐桌，比如桂花糕、桂花茶……接着说的是菊花。菊花品种可多啦，有毛绒绒的绣球菊，有金黄色的瀑布菊，有细如针的波菊……菊花的颜色也是多种多样：有金黄色的，有紫色的，有米黄色的，还有雪白的……菊花的花瓣是一条条的，中间的花瓣向里卷起呈鹰爪似的形状，花心四周的花瓣向外舒展，略微弯曲。
有的好似金色的瀑布倾泻而下，又有的仿佛绿水长流一般。一朵朵，一簇簇，真是美丽极了!还有就是一串红。盛开的一串红，远远望去，好似一个个害羞的小姑娘;近看，又像一串串即将要响的鞭炮。只见一朵朵火红的一串红，摆弄着她那婀娜多姿的身体，像是在对人们炫耀：“我比春天的花儿还要红。”还要告诉你一个秘密：当你拔出一串红的花蕊，放入嘴中轻轻一抿，那汁水的滋味真是比蜜还要甜。正是这么多的色彩，为萧条的秋天增添了一道亮丽的风景线。
