When i was six years old, i began to go to school. The first school (which) i attended was a primary school. There were many subjects (which were taught in the school, such as chinese, arithmetic, history, geography, drawing and so forth. Since i was (became) a student, i studied very hard. After i had studied there for three years, I entered a junior high school. When i was twelve years old, I became a student of a senior high school. I still studied very hard. Except on sick leave i was never absent from class. Everybody looked upon me as a model student.

It was a very busy evening. I was doing my homework at my home. My father was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in Shanghai opera. She was watching a Shanghai opera contest. The apartment was very quiet. Suddenly the light went out. It was a blackout, but I liked it very much. It came and I didn’t have to do my homework. We went to the living room very slowly. After 5 minutes, we all sat in the sofa. It was a lucky, fortunate day. I said that let’s held a concert. My parents agreed with me. During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o’clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

But I haven’t bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed，because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meat some of my good friends during the vacation ,we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether .And I watched the spring festival party of the CCTV in the last seconds of the 20xx year! I think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any more.

One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

寒假期间，因为春节和其他原因我很开心。假期期间，我父母和我回到河北的乡下老家。我已经好几年没回去了，所以看到过去这些年这座小村庄发生的巨大变化我感到很惊讶。几乎村里的每一户人家都有彩电，有的还有了电脑。很多家庭都有了新建的或重建的房子。以前，老式瓦房随处可见，但是现在它们看上去完全是一幅新的景象。摩托车或者甚至是私家车也已不再是奢侈品了。

一位村民骄傲地告诉我他和其他一些村民跟团出国旅游了。以前，村民们一整年都忙于农活，但是现在它们有更多时间和钱去放松娱乐。旅游已经成为在村民当中已经成为一种新潮流了。看到这些惊人的变化，我爸爸说他一退休就想回到家乡。而我也强烈支持他的观点。
