First, respecting and understanding each other is the key to make a homesweet, especially living in a big family. Everyone in the family has his or herown opinion and has different way to deal with the matters, and it is impossibleto make family members see eye to eye with each other. Therefore, when we aremeeting different opinions, we need to give our respect and understanding toeach other.

Second, communication is another important factor to make a sweet home.Communicating with family members is a good for us to know each other andstrengthen the relationship. Thus, no matter where we are, keeping in contactwith each other is definitely important.

Finally, humor can add more sweet to our home. Humor is a good way toadjust the atmosphere in a family and close the relationship between familymembers. Hence, if there is going to have a quarrel between family members, tryto use your humor to solve it in advance.

In a word, to make a home sweet needs the effort of every familymember.

The shortage of housing is one of the most serious problems facing many bigcities in China. Though the government has spent a large sum of money onhousing,the investment has not been very resultful and a housing shortage stillexists. Two generations sharing one room and newlymarried couples finding itdifficult to have a house of their own are still common cases. Housing shortageis a problem that requires an immediate solution.

People's attitudes towards the solution to the housing problem aredifferent. Some suggest building more tall apartment buildings; others believethat we should develop underground housing areas. I am in favour of the formeropinion. For one thing, it is cheaper to build upward than downward. Foranother, living underground for a long time will do harm to people's health.Above all,people are unwilling to live underground with artificial lighting andthey prefer to live normally on the ground to enjoy the sunshine.

Although there may be some other ways to solve the housing shortageproblem, I believe to build more apartment buildings is one of the feasiblesolutions to the housing problem.

Last week, I saw an Interesting cartoon and I was attracted by thebeautiful house. The house was in the top of the mountain. Every morning, themain character could see the whole landscape and village. It is such a beautifulhouse for me. In the future, I want to have a house like this, trees and flowersare around.

Our college is an ordinary institution of higher learning.

on our campus,there are no skyscrapers,no graceful and imposingbuildings,and no strange houses.All the buildings are common,but they stand inspecial relationship to each other,making a nice learning atmosphere for us.Thenewest and perhaps largest building is the library.It stands in the middle ofour campus.It is seven storeys high.With its bright,spacious reading rooms andall kinds of books,newspapers and magazines,it is the place where students liketo go.The next largest building is the Chemistry Department.The rooms in it arefilled with various apparatus.The buildings that the students and teachers livein are the apartment houses.

Before long,new buildings will be added to our campus and some old oneswill be pulled down.I think that our campus will become more and morebeautiful.Then more and more young men will come and learn in it.

In Tianjin,there are many buildings of bygone times.Some of them areimposing and have great artistic and historic value.However,these buildings domot fit in well with each other,because most of them were built by foreigners indifferent times.The traffic in the city is not very convenient.The street areusually narrow and twisted.If the government wanted to have them widened,a largenumber of buildings would have to be pulled down.Some buildings are too old andare nothing more than cottages,and in place of them,some new high buildings havebeen set up.However,the new ones are still few and in many places they seemquite out of place.

Yet those Western-style buildings give Tianjin a different characteristicfrom other cities and those new ones lend the city fresh vitality which willspread rapidly with the reform going on.
