In China, the students have to take part in many exams, they need to get the high mark, so that they can enter the better school and have more chances to get to the college. Chinese education pays special attention to the score, it occupies important position, it seems that score decides the students’ future. In my opinion, score doesn’t mean everything, the score just proves that the students is good at studying, but not including his ability of other things. I have a classmate, he is good at studying, every time when he takes the exam, he almost can get the full mark, but he is week in hand work. When the teacher asks us to make some art work, he always fails and even doesn’t want to finish it. High score doesn’t mean overall ability, we should pay more attention to the ability of life, it can make sure us to be a better man.
在中国，学生要参加很多的考试，他们需要考到高分，这样他们就可以进入到更好的学校，有更多的机会进入大学。中国的教育很注重分数，分数占据了很重要的位置，似乎分数决定了学生的将来。在我看来，分数并不意味着一切，它只是学生学习好的证明，但是并不包括在其他方面的能力。我有一个同学，他很擅长学习，每次当他考试时，他总能得到满分，但是在手工方面很薄弱。当老师叫我们制作一些手工活时，他总是失败，甚至不想要完成。高分并不意味着全面的能力，我们应该更注重生活的能力，那能让我们成为更好的人。

The importance of reading ability and how to develop it.

We all know that reading is important, but not everyone has recognized the fact that one’s reading competence is of equal importance. It not only helps us acquire information more quickly but also improves our reading experiences and outcomes. So how to improve our ability to read? From my perspective, there are three practical ways.

First, we should learn strategies to meet different reading needs. For instance, we can skim and scan materials when reading for fun. Secondly, keeping a reading journal is recommendable because it encourages us to take notes, comment and reflect. Through this may we benefit more and improve our reading capacity. Finally, the increase of reading capacity also takes time and practice. Therefore, we should read more regularly and read with better habits, like switching phones to silent mode when reading.

To conclude, the above three methods can all help develop reading ability. One may choose what fits him most and keep reading.

Beautiful outlook indeed attracts people’s attention, if people have the beautiful outlook, of course they will give people deep impression, just like the saying that everyone has the mind of appreciating beauty. But we must figure out the fact that outlook can’t decide everything, only the ability can do it. The good example is Mariah Sharapova, she is a famous tennis player. Early in her career, people noticed her beautiful outlook, but more and more beautiful female tennis players come into being, only Mariah gets famous all the time, the reason is that she is outstanding amongst these girls. She has won so many championships, which makes her the most attractive girl. Beautiful outlook opens a door for people, but only the ability makes them standing all the time. People will get the genius respect for their hard working instead of their attractive faces.
美丽的外貌确实吸引人们的注意，如果人们拥有好看的外表，理所当然能给人留下深刻的印象，就如有句话说爱美之心，人皆有之。但是我们必须弄清楚外表并不能决定一切，只有能力才能决定一切。玛利亚莎拉波娃就是最好的例子，她是一位出名的网球运动员。在她早期的职业生涯中，人们注意到了她的美丽外表，但是随后越来越多美丽的女子网球选手出现，而只有玛利亚一直有名气，原因在于她是这些女孩当中最出色的。她赢得了很多的冠军，这让她最吸引人们的注意。美丽的外表对于人们来说只是打开了一扇门，但是只有实力才能让她们一直出众。人们会因为他们的努力而得到尊重，不是因为他们吸引人的外貌。

Since I go to school, it is important to take the high score, because not only my parents feel very happy, but also my teacher will give me special attention. It seems that high score is the main goal for every students. It has been long recognized that foreign students are good at practising while our students are good at getting the high mark. Score and ability which is more important, I think the latter is more useful. The things we learn should be prepared for our future. The students are in the stage of storing knowledge, when they meet challenges someday, they can have the ability to solve the problems. Having the ability to solve problems by oneself reflects the person is independent and he has already grown up. That’s what education chase for.
自从我去上学起,考高分是很重要的,因为不仅我的父母会感到非常高兴,而且我的老师会给予我特别的关注。似乎,高分是每个学生的主要目标。一直以来，人们就认识到外国学生擅长实践,而我们的学生擅长获得高分。分数和能力哪个更重要,我认为后者更有用。我们学习的东西应该为我们的未来做好准备。学生处在存储知识的阶段,总有一天,当他们遇到挑战的时候,他们可以有能力解决这些问题。拥有自行解决问题的能力反映了一个人是独立的,他已经长大了。这就是教育所追求的。

Imagine there are two students, one is good at getting high score in the exams and the other is good at many practical skills, so who will be popular? In school, there is no doubt that teachers like the former person, because education pays attention to the exam, and score is always the standard to judge a student. While in the job market, the latter is favored by the employers. They expect someone who has the practical skills and can make profits for the company. Score doesn't mean ability. In school, some talented kids will be ignored because of low score. They are easy to miss the chance of making differences. So we can't judge a person by score, which ability is also the important part to measure a person, even ability take over the score.
想象有两个学生，一个善于在考试中获取高分，另一个则擅长很多实用技能，那么谁会受欢迎呢？在学校，毫无疑问，教师喜欢前者，因为教育注重考试，而分数总是作为判断一个学生的标准。在就业市场，后者则是会受到雇主青睐，他们想要那些有实用技能，可以使公司盈利的人。分数并不意味着能力。在学校，一些有才华的孩子会因为分数低而被忽略，他们很容易错过机会。所以我们不能通过分数来判断一个人，能力也是衡量一个人的重要部分，甚至能力比分数更重要。

There is a very classic situation happens in the job market. Graduates come to the employers and they will also ask the graduates about their expectation of the job. As the freshman in the job market, one factor is always paid low, so the first expectation is to raise the salary. Sadly, this is hard to negotiate, because the employers need to see the value you create in the work firstly. So when we ask for the things we want, we need to think about what we can do to others. Life is fair, as the saying that no pain, no gain. Just like if we want to make a difference in the world, we need to make some efforts, fighting for the goal. When we become excellent, we have the right to negotiate and take charge of life.
在就业市场有一个非常经典的现象。毕业生来到就业市场会被问及其工作期望。作为就业市场的菜鸟，其中一个特点是工资低，所以第一个期望是提高工资。遗憾的是，这个谈判是困难的，因为雇主需要先看到你所创造的价值。所以当我们要求想要的东西时，得想想自己能为此做些什么。生活是公平的，俗话说，没有付出，就没有收获。就像如果我们想要在世界上有所作为，就需要做努力，为我们的目标而战。当我们变得优秀时，就有权进行谈判，掌控生活。
