Some people think children should learn to compete, but others think that children should be taught to cooperate. Express some reasons of both views and give your own opinion.

Nowhere in the world has the issue of competition and cooperation been so much debated as in our society. Nowadays, the competition is more and more furious between different groups, but many people think that parents teach competition to children that it will be bad for their growth, let them learn how to cooperate that is the most important. Above point is certainly true; this essay will outline three reasons.

The main reason is that children' intellect is not enough capable to analyze right and wrong competition. If children do not have correct teaching, the competition easily leads children to a wrong way. For instance, children usually pay attention to match their clothing and toys; in fact, it is really worth competing thing that their study is being ignored.

Another reason is that if children work together, they could easily find out and supply their gaps. Because of limit of age, in order to children's knowledge is limited so that they have the different strongpoint. When they work together, they can learn the merit from others, and quickly correct their mistakes.

Last but not the least reason is the cooperation means common progress. A people's ability is limited, but group's power is unlimited. Lots of things are really difficult to complete by personal power. Nevertheless, people work together to solve problems that will become really easy and simple. Thus, it is important to let children get to know signification of cooperation.

In conclusion, children ought to learn signification of cooperation and how to work together, in order to their better future.

作为初三的我们，摆在我们面前的重要任务是中考，我们同学之间一直存在着竞争与合作，如果我们自己都没有信心，那么我们在学习上就不敢与其他对手对抗竞争，争取理想的成绩，那么我们就是学习上的手将败将，我们的学习不在于单单只想有理想的成绩，而且为了成功，不想在学习上与其他同学交流，不想告诉自己所掌握的知识，那可以摆明是不想互相合作，也是做人的懦夫，一个不想与他人合作的人，就算现在取得优秀的成绩，到头来以后就不能取得这么优秀的成绩了，因为在这个社会中合作是社会的立存，任何一个人都不能掌握所有的知识。

竞争与合作是彼此之间不能分离的，如果没有合作的竞争，只会弄的两方都两败俱伤，合作不竞争，社会就不会向前发展。

竞争与合作是相随相生的，只有共同发展，我们人类才会有所真的发展与进步。

When it comes to competition and cooperation, some people always emphasize competition but neglect cooperation.

Their reasons run as following: to begin with, they believe only competition can help them defeat their counterparts; in addition, they think competition is the only way to lead to success.

But some others hold different opinion. They think cooperation is as important as competition. They base their opinion on the following reasons: on one hand, cooperation can build trust between each other and help to bring long-term relationship; on another hand, cooperation can turn a small and weak business into a big and strong one.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that both competition and cooperation are essential to success and thus should be emphasized at the same time.

Competition is Fun

Chairman Mao once made a famous remark about competition, “To battle with God is great fun! To battle with Earth is great fun! To battle with people is great fun!” His words, although seeming a bit too aggressive, have illustrated that competition is never regarded as something formidable by a brave.

Competition exists throughout the evolution of nature and everyone’s life. Creatures compete to survive the merciless environment, eliminating weaker ones; Nations in the world compete for resources and power, and whichever fallen behind is beaten. As for individuals, ever since the very first day of our lives, we are forced into a competition with thousands of others around us, including taking examinations, applying jobs and striving for promotion, the results of which definitely determine our fate. Competition is as real a fact as the air around us that can neither be evaded nor be ignored.

Thus, my dear friends, do not fear competition. Accept it and enjoy it. With competition, you grow stronger, and you gain so much precious experience worth remembering of, regardless of what the outcome would be. Without competition, you cease to grow; you become a dead moth sealed in its own cocoon.

Competition is a common phenomenon in our society . We compete when we play games, we try to do better than others in our study, and there is constant competition for jobs, fame, wealth and so forth. Therefore,we can say that, in a certain sense, competition is one of the motive forces of the development of our modern society.

It is often believed, that competition and cooperation are in opposition to each other. Some people stress competition, without which, in their eyes, there is no responsibility, no drive and ultimately, no progress. Others advocate cooperation whatever they do. They are of the opinion that the dependence of people on one another has increased, without which the society we live in can not keep going smoothly. In reality, we find that in many cases competition goes hand in hand with cooperation. Lets take a football game for example. During the game, one team is competing against the other, but each member of the team must cooperate with his teammates. Otherwise, they would lose the game no matter how skillful each individual player might be. It is clear that competition has much to do with cooperation.

As far as I'm concerned, I do not agree with the view that competition and cooperation are always in conflict with each other. In my opinion, while advocating competition, we should never forget cooperation. In our social life, cooperation is especially necessary because most work is fulfilled with or through other people. So I've come to the conclusion that competition are equally important.

In nowadays, it is quite common that wecompete with each other for various competitions. However, it is also essentialfor people to cooperate with each other for we are members of society. Whenconfront with cooperation and competition, people seems to have a difficulttime in choosing them. Some people tend to compete with each other for theybelieve they can win rewards by defeating others. Some hold that we shouldcooperate with each other. Some think that we should not only cooperate withothers but we should compete with others as well. In my opinion, I think thatcompeting is more important for us. Reasons are listed below.

现在，我们经常会跟其他人比赛。但是，与他人合作也是很重要的，因为我们都是社会中的一员。当面对合作和竞争的时候，人们很难抉择。一些人认为我们能够通过竞争打败别人来获奖。一些人认为我们应该跟他人合作。一些人认为我们不仅要跟他人合作，也要跟别人竞争。就我看来，我认为竞争会更重要一些。原因如下：

First of all, competing is more importantthan cooperation in our society. In school, we compete with others by doingbetter in our study. When we are looking for jobs, we compete with othersapplying for the same position. When we go to a competition, we fight withothers for rewards or fame.

第一，竞争在社会中会比合作更重要。在学校里，我们通过在学业上做的比别人出色来与他人竞争。当我们找工作的时候，我们会与那些申请同一职位的人竞争。当我们参与某项竞赛的时候，我们会与他人争名誉。

Secondly, we can be stronger by competing.If we want to win others, then we have to be stronger than others. Thus, wehave to improve ourselves constantly. Consequently, our skills will be enhancedand we will get more experience to avoid failure.

第二，通过竞争，我们能变得更强。如果我们要赢得他人，那么我们必须比别人更强。为此，我们必须持续不断地提高我们自己。我们会因此提高我们的自身技能，而且也能得到更多避免失败的经验。

In conclusion, competition plays animportant role in our society as well as we can become stronger.

总之，竞争在社会中扮演着重要的角色，我们可以通过竞争变得更强。
