How time flies! I have studied in my school for three years. And I will graduate from middle school in a month. I am eager to share my happiness and sadness with you. I had so many memories in three years’ life. One of them impressed me very much. I still remember, when I began to learn English, I found it too difficult. No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn’t do well in it and almost gave it up. As soon as my English teacher found my problem, she had a talk with me about how to learn English well. Since then, she has kept helping me. Little by little, I’ve become interested in English and I’m good at it. I think I am so lucky to become one of her students. I’ve learned a lot from her. I will try to help others when they are in trouble. I think it is a happy thing to help others。

High school time is really the very unforgettable stage for me. During three years’ study, I fought for my future with my classmates, we made the progress together. They were my sisters and brothers. Though I would graduate soon, I would never forget them. My classmates and I took a lot of pictures, we decided to leave the precious moments. So we rent some dresses with the old style, which was very classic in the movie. We put on the dress and went to every corner of the campus, the funny thing was that we took pictures by imitating the movie posts. When other students saw our pictures, they thought it was such fun to do it, so they would join us and made the graduation pictures more vivid. It was such precious for me to keep these pictures, I will never forget my dear classmates.

Many years ago, working in the big cities was many graduates’ choice. They wanted to earn high salary and then found their own place in the economic zones. But now, the situation changes, as the government put forward some welfare, more graduates trend to work in the small cities.
The big cities are still the graduates’ first choice to work. In order to lure more talents to join the building of small cities, the local government has provided much welfare, such as the fund to do the project, the nice house to live and so on. Because of the pressure in the big cities, more young people like to join the team. But the problems will come as they live for a long time.
Some young people can’t adapt themselves to the new environment, where full of old generation and small kids around. It seems to be lacking vitality for them. What’s more, nobody knows the policy that local government provides whether will change someday. So when graduates make decision, they need to make further consideration, or they will waste the best years to search the right place.

Average students need to make their resumes specially, so they can have the chance. They can describe their characteristic to fit the job, the employers will see this and give you the chance. Students can also make their internship experience stand out, because the employers pay special attention to it.

The job pressure is heavy for every graduate student, if the students take the wise strategy, they can have more chances to get the job.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, my dear teachers and fellow graduates,

It is a great honor for me to make a speech on behalf of the graduating class of 2008.

It has been three great years for us to study in this beautiful school. Our teachers always try to make their lessons lively and interesting. We have learned a lot over these years, but we could hardly succeed without our teachers' effort, our parents' support, and our classmates' help. At this moment, I'd like to thank all of you for what you have done for us.

I wish our school more beautiful and all of us a wonderful future!

Goodbye, our beautiful school, our dear teachers and our friends!

Thank you for listening.

Graduate Craze

A growing number of college students and even people from all walks of life take part in the National Graduate Entrance Examination nowadays. According to an official statistics, in the year 2011 alone, there were more than 1.4 million applicants sitting for the exam. It seems to be a craze for postgraduate study.

People have different purposes in trying to go to the graduate school. First, the majority of candidates try to get into graduate school due to the employment pressure, as a bachelor’s degree is no longer evaluated as a sufficient qualification to ensure a decent job nowadays. Second, some people, though employed for years, find their knowledge inadequate to meet the demand of this ever-developing society. Naturally, they turn to postgraduate study. Third, some people see postgraduate study as a fashion and follow suit.

In my opinion, it is advisable to pursue postgraduate study under the present condition of low

Employment rate and high demands on talents. And I have every reason to believe that more people will struggle to study in the graduate school and the craze for graduate study will last for years.

It has always been a hot topic whether collegians should go on study at a graduate school or just find a job when they graduate. Some people think that students should broaden their knowledge circle and attend graduate school. Some hold that students should find a job to make a living. In my point of view, I'm for the former for I think student should keep on study to get more knowledge.

To begin with, most students in college just have a comprehensive knowledge which is not professional, so they should keep on studying to become an expert in certain field. If they go to find a job after graduate, they may do a bad performance in the job because of the pertinency of the job. Therefore, students should attend graduate school after they graduate.

Second, collegians can get a better paid job in the future if they attend graduate school. Generally, there are too many job seekers with bachelor's degree, so they are paid little when they find jobs at the first time. However, students with master's degree are paid more than the bachelor's degree when they find a job for the first time. Moreover, many companies prefer to hire students with a higher degree, so the master's degree holders will be the priority of recruiters compared with the bachelors.

In conclusion, when students graduate, it is good for them to attend graduate school in order to become more professional in their area and get a better job in the future.

graduation(10)

Each year, millions of Chinese college students sit for qualifying examinations for graduate studies, primarily in Master's programs. Students prepare for those examinations either through years of arduous self-education or by spending large sums of money attending local training schools. The publishing of examinations-related study materials and the training programs offered, both online and offline, have combined to form a sizable industry.

An alarming fact about this craze is that most students pursue graduate studies not out of their voluntary will. Faced with the harsh reality in the employment market, which is forever looking for graduates with higher degrees, many college graduates find going to graduate schools is a good way to avoid unemployment and to enhance one's competitiveness in future job hunting.

However, without that voluntary initiative, most students who do enter graduate schools are not motivated. For them, the only thing that ultimately counts is the degree or the diploma which they expect could give them an upper hand against other job hunters. As to the actual substance of their graduate studies, it's not a big deal for them, as long as it leads to that degree or diploma. It is really pathetic to see that students undertake graduate studies with an ulterior motive—not for the sake of loving what they study, but for the sake of merely landing a job, which in many cases might be unrelated to what they have studied.

The chill truth is that students soon find their anticipations are a mere dream. As so many undergraduates proceed onto graduate studies, the employment situation remains as severe as ever. Instead of bringing about apparent competitive edges, two or three years of additional academic training is simply a waste of time and energy. They need to reflect on this craze and would have been better off distinguishing themselves with outstanding knowledge and skills when they were undergraduates.

Dear Shitou,

So great to receive your letter on May 1st, in which you inquired about my plan after graduation. Now, I am writing to illustrate it and my accounts。

As is known to all, so many graduates are eager to set feet on their work-life roads. According to a survey by National Department of Education, more than six million college students will leave the so called “Ivory Tower” this year. It is clear that the competition of job-hunting will be extremely furious. On the contrary, it seems advisable for me to further my study and get a master's degree. What makes me convinced is that a higher degree and better educational background will, undoubtedly, enable me to make full preparation for entering the society. Besides, if possible, I will get involved in social and practical activities in my spare time。

Taking all aspects into account, I choose to study as a postgraduate。

Many thanks for your concern. Best wishes!

Directions: For this part you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic Jobs for Graduates. You should write at least 120 words and base your composition on the outline below:

Job hunting has always been a headache for college students. Though many graduates are employed right after graduation, some are not. Most serious of all, some still have no idea where to go working even a long time after graduation.

The reasons for this phenomenon are various. On the one hand, a few years ago colleges and universities enrolled so many students in popular majors, such as economy, finance and so on that the number of graduates was greater than the need in the market. On the other hand, most graduates would rather stay in large cities without suitable job to do than go to the country.

I reckon this problem can be solved if both colleges and students take measures. First, they should research the market and develop special skills to suit its need. Second, students’ attitude towards employment should be changed. They should go to small cities and country. There they can also give full play to their professional knowledge. In a word, if we pay much attention, the situation can be improved.

It’s very hard for college graduates to find a job, of course harder to get an ideal job. In fact, many factors contribute to the unfavorable situation.

First, more and more students can go to college because of the being fast improved high education of China. As a result, there are more graduates every year. However, job vacancies don’t increase that fast. More people, less food, which is the exact description of the hard condition. Second, more and more people go on to pursue their master and doctor degree; more and more Chinese oversea students come back to China to hunt better working chances. It is sure that the competition is more and more fierce. Third, because of the fast development of science, technology, economy, society and the interchange of different nations, all units have higher requirement of their employees, for example, stronger ability and higher degree.

In addition to the factors above, there are still more which bring hardship for graduates to find jobs. Nevertheless, how to solve the problem is more important. It is a good idea for the graduates to learn more knowledge with a higher degree and to practice and improve their capability of dealing with all kinds of situation, organization, having good terms with others and cooperative spirit. Besides, the government should try to and encourage all units to create more job vacancies for the college graduates. Of course, the graduates should have a proper attitude towards various jobs, but not always pursue those with higher payment.

Many years ago, working in the big cities is most college students’ goal, because big cities provide students more chances to get successful. But now, things have changed, many students choose to work as the village officials.

The students will be endowed with some priorities when they take part in the exam of civil servants. It is so alluring, so they are willing to spend a few years’ youth to get the priorities.

Graduation and Moving on

Graduation is a time when we move on, from school to university, or out into the real world.

Before graduating from school, We usually have a variety of activities, like taking pictures, leaving encouraging words to one another in memory of our friendship, or giving presents to our teachers express our thanks and show respect.

However, I have mixed emotions about moving on.I want to stay and have more fun with my friends, but I will have to move on.Graduation means taking a step forward---moving onward and upward. Thus I can learn more and will be more skilled and experienced.

Graduation is coming whether we are ready or not.Let's make great efforts so that our dream will come true.
