Some people like living in the city because city life has many advantages. They think there are more job opportunities in cities， life there is more colorful and meaningful than that in the country， and there are more modern conveniences in cities for people to enjoy.

But some other people prefer to live in the countryside. They say life in the countryside is closer to nature and better for their health， life there is quieter and that country people are more honest than city people.

I would like to live in a city when I am young to earn enough money and I live in the countryside when I am old for having a quite life.

Life in the city is very different from life in the villages and on the farms. People in large cities are much more careful to respect the privacy of the individual. Sometimes this feeling seems to be one of indifference, but it is a convention of city life to curb one‘s curiosity about the personal affairs of strangers.

Villagers and farmers are likely to show a great deal of interest in all their neighbors. Opportunities for bright young people are greater in the cities and there has been a steady stream of hopeful jobseekers from the villages and farms to the large metropolitan areas.

Nowadays, more and more people in the city want to live in the country. And many people in the country want to live in the city. It is an interesting fancy thing for our society.

Let us think the reason of this phenomenon.

In the city, almost people think that the pace of the city become more and more quickly. The city is developing, and it also brings some new problems. People have much tension for the society. They have to work hard for living in the city and making themselves alive. Every day, they work hard. And also their hearts are very tired. The country is a good place for them to relax their body and their heart. In the country they will do the thing which they like doing, such as drawing the rural sight. Nowadays, in the city, there are more and more crimes. They do not give people security. Every day, people live in the fear. And the quality of living will fall. Now many people feel that many people are cold to each other. It also makes our heart to tire. So people in the city want to have a rural life.

But the persons in the country think that there are many opportunity in the city. And there are good education, good service, good medical treatment in the city. They can nor appear in the country. So the persons in the country want to have a urban life not only for themselves but also for their children and grandchildren. They think if they stay in the city, their future will be full of shinning.

I think I have my urban life until I will be old. In the city, there are much challenge for me. I want to accept them.

The difference between our towns and the country has tapered off,but there is still distinction between them.

People who live in cities can enjoy the coveniences of hospitals,schools and colleges,places of entertainment,various shops,and modern means of transport.But they have to endure noise,dirty air,traffic jams and crowded housing conditions.

People who live in the countryside can enjoy the green fields,fresh air,spacious houses and unsophisticated folkways.But comparatively their life is somewhat dull,and there are fewer schools and hospitals.The youngsters have to go to somewhere else to attend college.

If it is up to me make the choice,I prefer the urban life.Because I think there are more opportunities and challenges for young peple in cities.Besides,we can live a more exciting life which is full of change and variety.

I live in a big city. But this summer holiday I want to go to the countryside to relax.

The big city is modern and lively, but there is much noise, pollution, traffic, and the people in it are very busy. I don’t like it.

I like to visit nice and quiet countryside far away from the city. I like walking where theops, crowds or the tube. The air is fresh, the water is clean, the trees are green, and the atmosphere is quiet. I can boat in the lake, fish and swim in the river, climb the hills and pick up the fruit.

I hope that I can go to the countryside. That will be very interesting and healthy.

农村生活模式该保留吗？Should the Country Life Style be Remained?

Today, China is in the process of being urbanized, people are chasing the urban life, the country life style is changing with the urbanization. Some people who live in the country think they should change their life pattern, they should abandon it for the purpose of keep pace with urbanization. In my opinion, the country life style should be remained.

今天，中国处于城市化的进程中，人们追求城市生活，乡村生活方式随着城市化也相应改变。一些住在乡村的人认为他们应该改变他们的生活模式，应该把农村生活模式去掉，以此来和城市化同步。在我看来，乡村生活方式应该要保留。

On the one hand, we should remain our traditional life style. The young generation gets high education, they believe in science, holding the idea that all the traditional country life styles should be abandoned, such as the behavior of shao xiang. While the pursuit of modern life has no contradiction with the old life pattern, people can combine them. They should keep the good side while abandon the negative side, like the worship of ancestors should be remained.

一方面，我们应该保留我们的传统生活方式。年轻一代接受着良好的教育，他们相信科学，认为所有的传统乡村生活方式都应该要抛弃，比如烧香的行为。然而对现 代生活的追求和传统的生活方式并没有矛盾，人们可以把他们结合起来。他们应该保留好的方面同时去掉消极的.方面，就像对祖宗的拜祭就应该要保留。

On the other hand, the reservation of the country life style helps people find the sense of belonging. As most of the young generation work in the city, they leave their hometowns for a long time, what’s more, they don’t have the sense of belonging in the city. The country life style will let them find their existence and won’t lose themselves.

另一方面，对乡村生活方式的保留能让人们找到归属感。大部分年轻一代人在城市工作，他们长城市期远离家乡，而且，在城市里也找不到归属感。城市生活方式会让他们找到归属感，不会自我迷失。

The country life style of course need to be remained, it stands for the tradition, how can we abandon it. At the same time, we need to clear the bad side.

乡村生活方式需要保留，那代表着传统，我们怎么能抛弃呢。同时，我们需要清除掉不好的方面。

"Well, used to stay in the city, good thought to experience rural life yo!" I muttered.

In the city, while living in high-rise buildings where, despite all the much more convenient than in rural areas, but there are many shortcomings.

Oh, well outside the noisy city! Particularly when engaging in promotional activities, all day holding the microphone promote their products; good to think of rural Oh! Where there is no noise, just silence.

City of Dust is pretty strong! Car over, the scatter on the ground of dust, dust will be those who danced in the air, waiting for our call into the body; good to think of rural Oh! Where extremely fresh air, very few cars, there are many trees release oxygen.

Men of the town a good few hobbies Oh! You see children in rural areas, and some swimming in that stream fishing in troubled waters, and I feel extremely excited; some on horseback or cattle back, pick a few leaves on the lips, blowing birds singing, listening to the voice moving to detect and really not any different bird. Some people in the ground do not know the game in town. The entertainment city people, nobody will.
