以前，人类都是靠人力或动物的力量来完成事情，由于现代科技愈来愈发达，人类的活动范围、活动种类也就跟着扩大与改变，因此污染问题也就愈来愈严重，最严重的污染有三类，其中一类就是空气污染，空气污染形成的原因：工业污染，交通运输的污染，日常生活中的污染，这些都是空气污染形成的原因；即使天气晴朗时，我们周围的大气也并非如表面所见的明净。空气里充满了看不见的固体、气体和液体等不同型态的物质。但是最后所带来的影响也就变的很多，像是人体健康、植物、金属，建筑以及艺术宝藏等接受到影响，在我们生活的环境中，空气污染是个非常严重的问题，在无影、无声、无息中，逐渐侵入你的肺部和身体上的各个组织，所以空气污染所带来的的影响是相当可怕的。而对气候的影响也相当的严重，因为大气中的二流氧化物、氮氧化物造成的“酸雨”现象，二氧化碳造成大气层散热量减少，使地球表面温度上升，形成“温室效应”等，均是对气候产生的影响。
最近，人类开始发觉要好好保护大自然，免得又要受到大自然的反扑，于是开始执行防止空气污染的方法，汽车的排气孔定期检查以及选择有装触媒转换器的车辆、将工厂排除来的废气净化或者用其他方式、排气通风使大气能够稀释人们所产生的空气污染、多种绿色植物，这些方法都可以使空气污染减少，而且带来的影响也就会跟着减少，简直是一举数得。

近年来，雾霾天气不但严重的影响了空气的质量，更是容易引发哮喘等疾病的主要来源。雾霾天气的空气中，包含了一些尘土形的微小颗粒，这些微小的颗粒是我们用肉眼无法看见的。这些微小的颗粒足以使人们得上肺病。它们，可称得上是无形杀手。那么，雾霾天气究竟是由什么而引起的呢?其实，雾霾天气就是由汽车尾、炒菜的油烟、还有吸烟吐出的烟、烟花的烟形成的，从而引发雾霾天气的出现。
不要说雾霾天气是杀手，更不要说雾霾天气很可怕，其实，真正的凶手还是我们人类，是人类不懂得保护环境，是人类要破坏自己的家园，所以才引起雾霾天气，这些都是人类自食其果。
当然啦，现在的局势还是无法挽回，我们还是可以阻止雾霾天气的。我们可以把汽车改成骑自行车;可以不吃炒菜，吃炖菜;可以戒烟或可以把吸完烟的烟头仍到垃圾桶里;可以少放烟花爆竹;还可以多种植花草树木，来净化环境。只有我们选择低碳生活，才能阻止雾霾天气的发生。有时候，我真希望，汽车里喷出来的不是难闻的尾气，而是淡淡的芳香，烟囱里吐出来的不是浓浓的黑烟，而是晶莹的露珠。我真希望，我们的家园能变得树更绿、花更红、小鸟的歌声更动听、更悠扬。

3、在农村，有许多人大量焚烧秸秆，致使空气遭破坏。
4、生活炉灶与采暖锅炉在居住区里，随着人口的集中，大量的民用生活炉灶和采暖锅炉也需要耗用大量的煤炭，特别在冬季采暖时间，往往使受污染地区烟雾弥漫，这也是一种不容忽视的大气污染源。

我在网上还找到了空气污染的类型：
(1)还原型污染：常发生在以使用煤炭和石油为主的地区，主要污染物有二氧化硫、一氧化碳和颗粒物。
(2)氧化型污染：汽车尾气污染及其产生的光化学污染。
(3)石油型污染：主要来自于汽车排放、石油冶炼及石油化工厂的排放，包括二氧化氮、烯烃、链烷、醇等。
(4)其他特殊污染：主要是从各类工业企业排出的各种化学物质。
空气污染对人体的伤害是极大的，同时也是多方面的，主要表现是呼吸道疾病与生理机能障碍，以及眼鼻等粘膜组织受到刺激而患病。
大气中污染物的浓度很高时，会造成急性污染中毒，或使病状恶化，甚至在几天内夺去几千人的生命。其实，即使大气中污染物浓度不高，但人体成年累月呼吸这种污染了的空气，也会引起慢性支气管炎、支气管哮喘、肺气肿及肺癌等疾病。
既然大气污染对我们有如此大的危害，本人总结出了以下几个措施：
1、茂密的林丛能降低风速，使空气中携带的大粒灰尘下降。树叶表面粗糙不平，有的有绒毛，有的能分泌粘液和油脂，因此能吸附大量飘尘。蒙尘的叶子经雨水冲洗后，能继续吸附飘尘。如此往复拦阻和吸附尘埃，能使空气得到净化，所以应该多建些绿化带，多种点树。种树也要有所选择，比如泡桐、海棠、紫荆花和草坪就可以吸收较多的二氧化碳，城市里可以多种点。
2、改良城市公交车辆和出租汽车。关于这个，我想如果大家能少开私家车或不开车，就会多来选择乘公交车和出租车。那我们的公交车和出租车就应该好好改进一下。现在的公交车排出的废气很黑、很多、很浓，应该改成和世博会上的世博专线车一样，不用汽油改用电，既清洁又环保。
3、建议买小排量的汽车。现在提倡低碳，小排量的汽车油省、污染小，国家为了鼓励大家买小排量的汽车，听妈妈讲还专门有退税补贴政策，可居然还有那么多人选择购买大排量汽车，真弄不明白，为什么会有那么多人买大排量汽车?
