2008年高考语文会做哪些调整？附加题部分究竟怎么考？作文会不会加分？记者从有关部门获悉，目前江苏2008高考大纲和考试说明正在最后修订中，不久将正式公布。而有关参与讨论的专家昨向本报记者透露，2008年江苏高考作文分值肯定要增加，最有可能加到70分，而附加分40分的命题方向也应当是偏能力和运用，题型不会与已考部分重复。
据介绍，按照2008年高考方案，语文和数学每门160分，外语120分，此外语文和数学还有附加题各40分，划线时将按总分440分（不计附加分）划定每个录取批次的最低控制分数线，上线后再按考生报考的不同专业方向加上附加分投档。比如选考历史的考生将加上语文附加分，选考物理的考生则要加上数学附加分。
昨天，有关专家向记者透露，由于2008年江苏高考语文是160分加附加分40分，所以作文分提到70分是不成问题的。“作文分值加大，更要认真抓作文。特别要注意今年高考江苏阅卷小组发布的信息，提出的导向是，提倡朴素文风，要言之有物，即使华丽，也要华而实。尽量写自己的生活，写自己的酸甜苦辣。”该专家建议说。
高考英语分数下降，语文作文分数增加，这两个现象都是好事情。
先说英语分数下降。现在中国学生学习英语，其实已经受到“限制”，一方面英语是一种工具，不能提高到夸张的地步，另一方面，由于英语和母语一样，都是要考察综合能力的，而不是死记硬背就行的，现行的考察体系不一定能全面考察，从目前对学生的英语培养情况来看，适当地降低分值是有必要的。
同时，再来说高考语文作文分值的增加。语文，很大程度上是体现在写作能力上的，特别是在导向上，要突出汉语表达和汉语写作。可以作为参照的是，近年来社会上普遍出现汉语写作能力下降的现象，已经成为一种趋势。因为社会上崇尚的技术化、工具化，使得人们对汉语表达的关注远远不够。因此，加大语文的分值，加大作文的分值，是有利于改变现状的。
事实上，这也有利于增加人文精神的含量。一段时间以来，语文教育中“死记硬背”的.色彩还是比较重，从而忽视了审美、感悟、表达、创造等更具有人性化的因素。作文在过去一直认为比较虚，现在更加重视是有现实针对性和长远意义的。
但是，有两个相关问题需要注意，一个是作文教学怎么教？一个是作文评分怎么评？
现在的作文教学会限制到学生创造力的提升，需要更新思路，因为作为综合能力的一种表达，过分地强调作文的分解化和过程化，都有八股之嫌。而在作文评分上，一直以来也是强调规范化评分，比如设定“层次分”“语言分”等类项，将标准细化，其实这种机械化的思路，忽视了作文是一种总体性的表达。
另外，也许这样一来，不少人会担心改卷老师的主观色彩会不会体现得更突出，事实上任何评分（除了电脑评分以外）都不可避免会有一些主观性因素在里面，不过别忘了对于同样一篇作文，不同审卷老师的审美标准还是存在不少共性的。
高考改革的趋势是好的，相应的措施要跟上，不过也不能因为相应措施一时跟不上，就影响改革的趋势。

We were all offered a free meal in the hospital cafeteria on Christmas Day, so we claimed that meal and prepared a banquet for our Christmas guests.
We needed presents. We put together oranges and apples in a basket one of our vendors had brought the department for Christmas. We made little goodie bags of stickers we borrowed from the X-ray department, candy that one of the doctors had brought the nurses, crayons the hospital had from a recent coloring contest, nurse bear buttons the hospital had given the nurses at annual training day and little fuzzy bears that nurses clipped onto their stethoscopes. We also found a mug, a package of powdered cocoa, and a few other odds and ends. We pulled ribbon and wrapping paper and bells off the department's decorations that we had all contributed to. As seriously as we met physical needs of the patients that came to us that day, our team worked to meet the needs, and exceed the expectations, of a family who just wanted to be warm on Christmas Day.
We took turns joining the Christmas party in the waiting room. Each nurse took his or her lunch break with the family, choosing to spend their "off duty" time with these people whose laughter and delightful chatter became quite contagious.
When it was my turn, I sat with them at the little banquet table we had created in the waiting room. We talked for a while about dreams. The four children were telling me about what they would like to be when they grow up. The six-year-old started the conversation. "I want to be a nurse and help people," she declared.

Police arrested Ren in a rented house in Liangyungang city of the eastern Jiangsu Province at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, said Wu Heping, spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security.
Ma was arrested in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon.
"Police have recovered some of the missing funds and are questioning the men," Wu said.
Sources with the Jiangsu provincial public security bureau said police seized 3.4 million yuan when they arrested Ren, who allegedly "did not deny" committing the crime during initial questioning.
"This huge loss of funds has exposed major loopholes in crime prevention, especially regarding financial institutions," Wu said in a press conference. "As the investigation continues, we will learn how the suspects succeeded and we will try to mend the holes in our system."
He said he hoped the Hebei case could sound a warning to the financial sector.
Wu said the theft had even drawn the attention of central government leaders, and Public Security Minister Zhou Yongkang had given instructions on investigating the case.
The police had offered a reward of 50,000 yuan (6,400 U.S. dollars) to anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
At Thursday's press conference, Wu acknowledged the public's role in tracking down the two men but did not reveal how many people were in line for rewards.
"It has been proved that offering monetary rewards is a good method, but the amount will not be determined until the entire investigation ends,(Make the best use of)," Wu said, adding that the police are still trying to recover the rest of the missing funds.

After 1949, large-scale restoration took place and now the Fragrant Hills Park is a pop- ular place in late autumn for holiday-makers when the maple leaves redden. The brilliant foliage is the main attraction. No one is sure where the sumac trees originated. Legend has it that a south wind carried the seeds of the red-leaf trees to Beijing. Then the seeds survived, and as years passed they grew into a lovely forest. Another story goes that the sumacs were transplanted to the area by Emperor Qianlong (l736-l795) of the Qing Dynasty. In November, the frosted leaves of these trees, along with the persimmons and maples, spread over the Fragrant Hills like a thick red blanket. For two centuries, it has been a resort for the residents in Beijing.

Spectacles Lake
Built in l745, the Spectacles Lake actually consists of two ponds separated and spanned by a stone bridge. Studio of Tranquil Heart

Lying to the south of the Studio of Tranquil Heart, the Bright Temple was built in 1780 as a residence for the Sixth Bainqen Erdeni when he visited Beijing. The compound has a 10-metre-high red terrace in Tibetan style. It was destroyed by the Anglo-French troops in 1860.
