到了学校老师让我们玩英语竞赛，我回答问题声音即洪亮速度又快，比三四年级的还快呢，所以我拿的奖品最多，我还是首先拿到，因为别人对水饺都不会，而我对水饺也很熟，所以我那的奖品最多，还得到老师表扬，我心里喜滋滋的。
你们知道我为什么能回答那么快么，因为我都提前预习了，所以说提前预习很重要。

爷爷平时最喜欢打麻将。每一天，除了吃饭、睡觉外，爷爷都会在小区的老人之家打麻将。在家看不见爷爷，在麻将馆总能找到他。可这几天，我爷爷没去打麻将，但早出晚归，一天都不见到踪影。
有人说：“去打麻将了。”
有人说：“去唱歌了。”
可有人说：“去学英语了。”
我想前两个都可能而第三个绝对不可能，因为爷爷从来未学过英语。我把我听说的事，和我的想法都告诉了我奶奶，奶奶和我的想法一样。
一天，爷爷从外面回来，奶奶大声对爷爷说：“你这个死老头，又到哪鬼混去了。”
爷爷嬉皮笑脸地说：“保密。”
我和奶奶互相看了一眼，都认为爷爷这么神秘，肯定不是什么好事。于是我对爷爷产生了不好的看法，平常爷爷都跟我一起玩，但爷爷现在找我玩，我都不理他，气冲冲地就走了。
那次妈妈要我送鱼给奶奶，可是奶奶不在家。没办法，我只好把鱼交给爷爷，我也没象以前那样和爷爷玩一会，只和爷爷打声招呼就回家了。才走出几步就看见爷爷进了对门王叔叔家。我很奇怪，爷爷去王叔叔家干什么，这个时间他应该去麻将馆呀！我带着疑惑跟在爷爷后面，进到王叔叔家，只看见王叔叔正拿着英语书在教爷爷读英语。这下，我什么都明白了。
我一反冲上去说：“爷爷，我不该这样对你。”
于是我把这几天的事情告诉了爷爷，爷爷大笑说：“傻孩子，有句俗话说得好——活到老学到老，如果我天天沉迷在麻将之中还得了啊！于是就让王叔叔教我学英语了。”
这件事一传十，十传百，百传千，这一个小区都知道了。
你说这件事新不新鲜，就连我爱打麻将的爷爷都学上了英语。

In recent years ninny cities are faced with the problem of heavy traffic. People have to waste more time on their way home or to work and even might be involved in an accident. With the development of industry and population expansion, this problem becomes more and more serious.
One solution is to lay down more roads. The solution has many advantages. For example, it can efficiently decrease the number of buses and trucks in many main streets. But it will take up so much land that crowded cities become more crowded. Another solu tion is to open up more bus lines. If more bus lines should be opened up,the number of bicles and cars in the main streets would be greatly decreased. But the disadvantage of this solution is that many people wouldn’t feel so convenient os they used to.
近年来，许多城市都面临着交通拥挤这个问题。人们在上班或回家的路上不得不浪费许多宝贵的时间，甚至还会出车祸。随着工业的发展和人口的增长，这个问题变得越来越严重。
解决这个问题的一个办法是修建更多的道路。这一方法有许多好处。譬如说，它可以有效地减少许多干线上的汽车和卡车的流量。但是这种方法也会占有许多土地，使本来拥挤的`城市变得更拥挤。另外一种方法是多开辟公共汽车线路，如果这样，干线上的自行车和汽车的数量会大大减少。但这样做的弊病是许多人会觉得不像原来那样方便。
In my opinion, the right solution to the problem is the combination of the two, thatis, to lay down more roads in spacious areas and to open up more bus lines in downtown.

我气得满脸通红。妈妈见我的样子，就说：“脸红得跟猴腚似的，跟谁生气呢?”我和妈妈说明了事情的经过。妈妈一听乐了：“鹦鹉要像你一样聪明，还不跟你一起上学去?教它说英语，你得有耐心。”
对呀，鹦鹉学会第一句英语不是用了好几个月吗。我天天坚持教它学，它准能学会好多英语句子。
经过四个月的努力，它终于会说“Goodmorning.”。可是它学会了这个句子，竟然又不会说“Howareyou?”了。

however, there are many people who believe the test should stay. to begin with, the test is the most effective way to measure how well the students have learned english. what’s more, we can come up with some ways to lessen the negative effect.
as far as i am concerned, each side is right in a certain way. we have to keep the test so students will have better motivation to learn english. however, we can’t attach too much importance to the scores of the test. after all, it is just a test, isn’t it?

二单词训练
学完字母，当然是学单词啦！我先教妈妈最简单的，我本想看妈妈的好戏，没曾想妈妈又快又标准地“吐”出这几个单词，嗯，看来妈妈的基础还不差，这几个单词还难不倒她吗！我坏笑着决定给妈妈增加一点难度，果然不出我所料，我教的这几个单词，妈妈都没学过，发音就更别提多走样了。我反复纠正，可妈妈就是我行我素，正当我苦思冥想着如何纠正时，瞧见妈妈偷偷摸摸地在本子上写着什么，我很奇怪，趁妈妈不注意之时，一把抢过本子一看，差点笑掉大牙，原来妈妈把“waterbbottle”写成了“我偷抱头”，英译中了，我看了把肚子都笑疼了，我边学边把本子还给妈妈，妈用这个笨办法搞定了不少短语和单词呢！
三完美考核
眼看我对妈妈的培训就快告一段落了，我决定给妈妈来一次出其不意的考试。一天中午，我把妈妈叫到客厅，开始考试，这一考妈妈就露出了庐山真面目，她回答的牛头不对马嘴。唉！姜虽然是老的辣，但还是要认真呀！我甩下一句话：“三心二意，一事无成，一定要认真复习。”以后只要妈妈有空，就总瞧见妈妈在复习，功夫不负有心人，有一天，妈妈来接我，我见机连忙又考起妈妈，妈妈一愣，然后流利地回答起来，听得出来，那些单词短语妈妈也是花了心思的。
我教会了妈妈学英语，我的教学生涯也告一段落了，接下来我又要为我的速成培训班物色新学生了。
