Time goes by without any warnings. It seems that summer holiday is coming to the end. However when I checked my new term list, I found that there were still a lot of homework left, which seems endless to me. I sighed because I have no choice but to finish them. The whole day it took me to report the news that happened in the last two months. My head was spinning after rewriting 50 of them and I had to stop. It suddenly comes to me that I would have not to be so busy if I did it a little per day. And it also recalled me of what Ive said to myself when the vocation began: Early to bed and early to raise, study everyday and make a progress. I felt ashamed. And I think I will work hard during the next days and develope a habit of study.

Every time when the holiday comes, I will be very excited and forget about all the things. I always finish my homework in the last minute, which annoys my parents. So I decide to change this bad habit and finish my homework first. Then I can go out to play with my friends. Only in this way can I be responsible to myself.
每次假期到来时，我都会非常兴奋，忘记了所有的事情。我总是在最后一刻才完成作业，这一点让我的父母感到烦恼。因此我决定改变我的这个坏习惯。先完成家庭作业，然后再和我朋友出去打球。只有这样我才可以对自己负责。

I am in the fifth grade, I study Chinese,math and English. My teachers leave many homework every day. After school, Istay in school doing homework about one hour. I go back home, after I eat mysupper, I start doing homework again. I often sleep at eleven o’clock in theevening, because I have so many homework.

我是五年级学生，我学习语文、数学和英语。每天我的老师们都会布置许多作业。放学后，我会在学习里做一个小时左右。我回到家，吃了晚饭之后，开始继续做作业。我经常晚上11点才睡觉，因为我有太多作业了。

Many years ago, when students went home after school, they had less time to play, because the teachers gave them a lot of homework. I remembered at that time, my sister worked so hard to finish the homework, she wrote it quickly when she arrived home. After supper, she continued to finish her homework. I felt she worked too hard, she deserved to have some time to play, but she didn’t. Not long after that time, the government had made some reform, the students don’t have to burden so much homework, they can have time to play. Now students can enjoy playing games with friends after school, I think play and study should be contained.
很多年以前，当学生放学回家后，他们很少有时间来玩耍，因为老师给他们布置了很多作业。我记得在那时，我的姐姐为了完成作业，努力写作业，当她回到家里的时候，她就快速写。晚饭过后，她继续完成作业。我觉得她很努力学习，值得拥有时间去玩，但是她没有时间玩。在那不久之后，政府作出了一些改革，学生不用再背负那么沉重的作业负担，他们可以有时间去玩耍。现在学生可以享受课后和同学一起玩耍，我觉得玩和学习要结合起来。

Every day, we are busy with our studies. Our teachers often give us a lot of homework to do. After a day's hard work, we all feel tired. We want very much to have a rest. But when we get home, we still have to do a lot of homework. Today I have to work out ten maths problems. I must write a Chinese composition and recite twenty English new words. It is really a hard job. Most of the students in our class become short-sighted. I hope we can have more spare time to do games.

每天，我们都忙于学习。我们的老师经常给我们布置很多家庭作业。一天的努力学习之后，我们都觉得很累，我们很想休息一下。但是，当我们到家，我们仍然有很多作业要做。我今天要解决十个数学问题，我要写作文，背二十个英语单词。这真是一项很困难的工作。我们班大多数学生成为近视眼。我希望我们能有更多的空余时间做游戏。

Nowadays, more and more people in society have realized the importance of quality education, however, students in primary schools and high schools are still complaining that they are overloaded with too much homework.

现在，社会上越来越多的人已经意识到素质教育的重要性，然而小学生和中学生却仍然在抱怨他们的作业负担过于沉重。

In many teachers' eyes, homework offers a good method to strengthen the knowledge the students have obtained, yet they ignore the disadvantages that homework brings. For one thing, too much homework will take up all the spare time of students', leaving them unable to enjoy the rest of their lives; for another, too much homework will do great harm to students' health, both physically and mentally.

在许多老师看来，家庭作业是一个很好地巩固学生知识的途径，然而，他们忽视了家庭作业所带来的负面影响。一方面，过多的家庭作业占据了学生全部业余时间，使她们无法享受学校生活；另一方面，过多的家庭作业大大损害了学生的身心健康。

It is high time that schools thought more about the function of homework and try to take practical measures to promote the all-round development of students.

现在应该是学校进一步考虑家庭作业的作用并采取切实措施去提高学生全方位发展的时候了。

Today, my teacher gives us a special task. It is to communicate with our parents and write down their opinion about the ideal me. I feel so shy to do it, because I know I have made my mother angry many times. But they give me the answer that surprise me. They just want me to be a happy girl and do what I want. I feel touched.
今天，老师给了我们一个特别的任务，要我们与自己的父母交流，写下他们对于理想的我的意见。我很害羞，因为我知道我经常让妈妈生气。但是他们给我的答案却让我吃惊。他们只是想要我做一个快乐的女孩，做我自己想做的事情。我觉得很感动。

On the weekends，I do the homework，In the morning I wish the clothes . After that I do my homework . After dinner I wishthe dishes . I like do housework because I like comfortable home . I don't like take out the rubbish . So take out the rubbish withmy father. On Sunday I get up make your bed and clean the living room and sweep the floor. I'm very happy !
