I realized that health is worth all the money in the world. If you have millions of dollars but your health is poor, you will not be able to do what you want to do. So I think health is more important than wealth. People can do nothing if they are always in poor health, let alone happiness. No matter we are rich or not, we can not ignore the importance of health.

中国人近百年来学不会英语，不是因为英语难学，也不是因为中国人不用功，更不是因为中国没有英语环境，而主要是因为两大问题：一是基本功的问题，二是学英语工具的问题。基本功的问题指中国人学英语多年来一直没有发现和认识到学英语的基本功是什么，有什么重要性;学英语工具的问题指多年来中国人所使用的学英语工具(如国际音标、语法书、英语字典等)存在严重的缺陷，这些缺陷造成中国人即使发现了学英语的基本功是什么也难以学会它们。由于这两大问题的存在，至使中国人学英语的过程异常艰难，从小学到大学也学不会英语，近百年来难以攻克英语。
首先说说基本功的问题。学习任何东西都可以分成两大块，一是基本功的学习，二是上层能力的学习，且基本功的学习最为重要。比如要学会弹钢琴，首先要学会乐理、识谱、指法等弹钢琴的基本功，然后再去弹具体的曲子。若一个人不学乐理、识谱、指法这些弹钢琴基本功，上来就到钢琴上弹可不可以?也许可以，凭着感觉也许能弹出一两个曲子，但要让他弹复杂的曲子肯定就不行了，若逼他弹出贝多芬的交响乐，那对他来说就是折磨，因为他根本就没学过弹钢琴的基本功，怎么能弹得出来呢?再比如学跳舞，若一个人想当舞蹈演员，他首先要学的就是弯腰、踢腿、劈叉、跳跃、翻跟头等基本功，而且要花大量的时间来练习这些基本功，若他不学习这些基本功，一上来就跳舞行不行?跳几个简单的动作也许还可以，但要跳复杂的舞蹈肯定就不行了，要是让他跳巴蕾舞简直就是折磨，因为他没学过舞蹈的基本功，根本不可能跳出来。
学英语也是一样，分“基本功”学习和“听说读写”学习两大块，且基本功的学习最重要。没有基本功的学习学不会弹琴跳舞，同样没有基本功也学不会英语。基本功就像一座大楼的地基一样，在整个学英语中占有80%的重要性，扎实的基本功是学会英语的基础，也是彻底攻克英语的前提。中国人学英语一上来就是听说读写，一下子就听说读写了多少年，分不出什么是基本功，也从来没有想到过基本功的问题，因此多年来进行的是一种完全没有基本功的英语学习，就好像盖了一座完全没有地基的高楼，不仅盖得极为困难，而且盖到一定高度就再也盖不下去了。
那么学英语的基本功是什么呢?我经过多年的研究后发现了学英语的四大基本功，即：语音、单词(指单词记忆法)、语法、语言风格。这四大基本功表面上看来好像我们过去也学过，其实大大不然，我所说的这四大基本功，是我经过多年研究后重新发现和定义的全新概念的.四大基本功，它们不仅更完整、更科学、更系统、更容易学会，而且还发现和改进了目前中国人学习这四大基本功中的众多问题。比如语音的学习，过去中国人仅仅是学学音标，就算学过了语音，而我所提出的英语语音的学习中，不仅包括了音标的学习，还包括了发声方法的学习和口腔发声部位的学习，包括英语8大语调的学习和变速发音的学习，还要知道国际音标的缺陷和改进方法。再比如语法的学习，过去中国人所学的英语语法，偏向于以用词为主的“微观语法”，琐碎而繁多，难学难记，中国人从小到大也学不会微观语法，而我所提出的英语语法，主要指“宏观语法”，偏向于以句子零件和句子结构为核心的简洁明了的英语语法，它通俗易懂，小学生就可以学会，但却是十分重要的语法。
过去我们常说一个词：“语感”，并且知道培养语感是学习外语的一个重要内容，可语感究竟是什么，却没人清楚，因此我们只好糊里糊涂培养语感，在漫无目标的听说读写中模模糊糊地寻找语感。而发现了英语的四大基本功后，我给语感下了一个定义：语感是一个人对一种语言的基本技能和基本规律的认知程度和掌握程度，就英语来说，就是对英语四大基本功的认知程度和掌握程度。有了四大基本功的认识，我们就可以清清楚楚地描述出语感是什么，目标明确地去培养语感，就可以更快更好地培养语感，产生掌握语言的感觉。
过去多年来由于中国人对以上四大基本功没有明确的认识，便将它们与听说读写混在一起学习，结果造成了基本功学不会，学来学去没有语感，听说读写也学不会。天生就说英语的外国人在儿童时期的母语环境里不知不觉地就学会了英语的四大基本功，就产生了语感，因此他们既不知道自己母语的基本功是什么，也说不清英语的语感是什么。而中国人学英语，就应该靠我们自己去发现这四大基本功，将它们从听说读写的学习中剥离出来，并且首先认真扎实地学好这四大基本功，清清楚楚地学会语感，为听说读写铺平道路，然后再去听说读写，这样分两步来学英语，就可以突飞猛进，很容易就可以学会英语。
其次说说学英语的工具的问题。即使中国发现和认识到了上述学英语的四大基本功问题，并且下决心要学会它们，也会十分困难，因为中国人多年来(甚至近百年来)所使用的学英语工具(如国际音标、语法书、英语字典等等)有众多难以发现的严重缺陷，这些缺陷导致了中国人很难学会英语的基本功，甚至根本就没有办法发现学英语的基本功，因此多年来学会英语的中国人寥寥无几。如果中国人能及早地发现学英语工具的这些缺陷，并改进他们，就可以用改进的工具来学会英语的四大基本功，从而轻松地学会英语，走出学英语的困境。

University is a place that provides a number of interesting activities to eich our life on campus. In the two years, I have attended a couple of activities such as football club and reading society. The most benefited one popping into my mind is the sports meeting last month.

Rose is my roommate, classmate and my best friend in my college. She has a round face and a little plump. One can always find a nice smile on her face, which reflects her amiable and pleasant character. Our friendship attributes to her great influence on me.
