Firstly, watching movie in cinema makes people feel comfortable. Especially when you finish your all day work, it's a perfect choice to watch movie in cinema. As we all know, cinema is a huge space, people can relax in theater. Also, you can focus on movie because the screen is enough huge and the sound is enough clear. What's more, theater is always clean, it make people feel like watching movies at home.

Secondly, theater is a good choice for couples. Most young people like to go to theater to watch movies, because they think it's better to cultivate relationship in big theater. The atmosphere of the cinema is more suitable for lovers. People's state of mind will change with the ups and downs of film. So, most young people will choose to watch love story in cinema.

Thirdly, it's very easy to get a ticket. We don't need to waste much time for waiting in line. Nowadays, we have many ways to buy cinema tickets. The most typical way is to buy on the internet. Everything can be completed on the computer; all we need to do is to click the mouse. Science and technology make our life become very convenient. Besides, a movie ticket is not expensive, many people are affordable. Sacrifice a little money to buy comfortable experience, why not does it? The fast pace of life need to unzip the agent, and the cinema is good way to relax.

The Influence of Television and Movies

There is no doubt that watching television and movies can influence the way that people behave. Moreover, it seems that people are spending more and more time watching some sort of visual entertainment, whether it is television, a video tape or a DVD. Therefore, the effects of visual media cannot be ignored.

One obvious effect of the these media is that watching them induces people to buy certain products. television advertising is widespread and, nowadays, even movie theaters permit advertisements. Another way TV and the movies affect people is that they give people either a broader view of the world or a distorted one, depending on what type of program they watch. Those who watch news and educational program can learn many new things while those who watch primarily entertainment shows may come to believe that most people in the world possess great wealth and good looks. It may make them become dissatisfied with their own lives. Finally, perhaps the most susceptible viewers are children, who may be unable to tell fact from fiction and may try to imitate acts that they see on TV or in the movies.

With the every-increasing popularity of video entertainment, society must pay attention to these effects. Television and movies, while entertaining and informative, cannot take the place of real experience.

Accustomed though we are to speaking of the films made before 1927 as "silent", the film has never been, in the full sense of the word, silent. From the very beginning, music was regarded as an indispensable accompaniment; when the Lumiere films were shown at the first public film exhibition in the United States in February 1896, they were accompanied by piano improvisations on popular tunes. At first, the music played bore no special relationship to the films; an accompaniment of any kind was sufficient. For a number of years the selection of music for each film program rested entirely in the hands of the conductor or leader of the orchestra, and very often the principal qualification for holding such a position was not skill or taste so much as the ownership of a large personal library of musical pieces. Since the conductor seldom saw the films until the night before they were to be shown(if indeed, the conductor was lucky enough to see them then), the musical arrangement was normally improvised in the greatest hurry.

To help meet this difficulty, film distributing companies started the practice of publishing suggestions for musical accompaniments. In 1909, for example, the Edison Company began issuing with their films such indications of mood as " pleasant", "sad", "lively". The suggestions became more explicit, and so emerged the musical cue sheet containing indications of mood, the titles of suitable pieces of music, and precise directions to show where one piece led into the next.

Reading novels used to be a mainstream enjoyment in the past. However people got more interests in watching movies than reading novels after the movie came into our life. Then people diverge in the question: which is the better enjoyment? For me, reading stories is more joyful and I will give my reasons in the following.

Firstly, I can get more information about the story and the characters in the novels. But a movie needs to display the story in the limited period of time, usually about two hours. Therefore the director have to adopt the important part of the story and abandon the rest parts, but these trivial plots draw more interests from the readers.

首先，我能够得到更多关于小说和小说里的人物的信息。但是电影只能在有限的'时间里述说故事，通常是两个小时。因此导演不得不选取小说的重要情节并放弃其余的部分，但是这些不重要的情节也许更受读者喜爱。

The second reason is that I can get more enjoyment from reading novels, especially the procedure of turning the plots into varied images in my brain. That is a real fantastic experience. Although by watching the movies I can get the concrete pictures and amazing sounds, it is different from my ideas and it makes me a little disappointed. Because the movies shows the directors' thoughts and versions about the novels, which do not satisfied me in the whole. Besides, some directors may do some changes and even destroy the real stories, I think.

To sum up, I prefer to reading a novel to watching a movie because I can get more joy, more interested plots, and more fantasy experience from reading novels than watching movies.
