My Home Town

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

Protect Traditional Chinese Culture

The passage mainly tells us the importance of protecting traditional Chinese culture, which is challenged or facing extinction because of the developing society and changing lifestyle. Besides, China is nationwide sparing no efforts to do it.(36 words)

The protection of national and folk culture is of great significance to Chinese cultural diversity and also to the harmonious development between local economic and social development. It is reported that the Guangdong government pays special attention to protecting Chaoju(潮剧)，a local drama born in Chaozhou in the eastern Guangdong province.

In my opinion, some measures should be taken to protect traditional

culture effectively. To start with, we should make a law to regulate the society’s performance. Besides, we should draw more people’s attention to it, for the more they know about the importance of culture protection, the stronger the support we can get from the public.

In a word, it is high time for us to treasure and develop our own valuable culture.

direct and brief.However, some people think the newspaper is a better source of news in many ways.First of all,

newspapers can cover events in depth.Also,there is no time limit for reading a newspaper.In addition, readers use

做自己的决定 Make Your Own Choice

Many people have the difficulty to make decision, because they have no idea what they want and then just follow the crowd. When they realize what they want, they feel regretful. For the lucky person, they have the chance to restart, while for some don’t, they just live the life without passion.

许多人很难做出决定,因为他们不知道自己想要什么,然后只是随大流。当他们意识到他们想要的东西时,会感到遗憾。幸运的人,他们有机会重来,而对于一些不幸运的人,他们过着没有激情的生活。

I remembered before we went to college, we needed to choose the major. Most students did not know what to do, so they made a survey, the hot major which was believed to have the promising future was their first choice. As they studied, some would find they had no interest but they just couldn’t give up. If they thought twice before act, then they would not follow the crowd.

Newspapers and websites are two major new media in the world today, both of which can provide us with lots of news and information. But they're different in some ways.

As a child, I am so luck. I don't need to worry about food. I always have enough delicious food, live in a big house, and have beautiful clothes to dress. I am so happy that I have no idea to treasure all these things. I am a kind of particular about food. I often eat a little for one dish and the throw it away, because I have many choices. I will be full after eating several dishes. But one day, I watch a piece of news on TV. It is about some Africa children who are suffering starvation. They are so poor. They are not only having no food to eat but also having little water to drink. A bowl of rice is very rare for them. Seeing their longing eyes, I feel guilty. I am regret about wasting food before. How can I waste so much rare food? From now on, I will try my best to save food, to do something for them.
